The Content Strategy and Engagement Coordinator manages scheduling, production, distribution, and tracking of content across the Division of Public Relations, Marketing, and Creative Services, reporting directly to the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications. This role collaborates with various teams to align content and foster engagement with faculty, staff, students, prospective students, partners, donors, influencers, and the public. The coordinator also helps manage NSU’s social media presence to enhance reputation and visibility, contributing to strategic content development that highlights the university’s impact and aligns with its mission. Essential Job Functions
Align content opportunities with the university’s strategic priorities. Support the Director in content development planning and reporting. Oversee content flow across all channels, including articles, newsletters, social media, videos, web pages, and other assets. Coordinate with teams to ensure content production schedules are met. Develop and manage social media strategies, including content calendars, posting, monitoring, and crisis communication support. Manage content distribution, including posting on NSU News Center, college websites, and social channels, ensuring alignment with university themes. Engage with alumni, donors, and other divisions through content sharing and campaigns. Manage student content integration and social media presence of university leadership. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Job Requirements
Knowledge:
Strategic planning, management principles, English language, marketing, digital media, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn), Adobe Suite, MS Office. Skills:
Critical thinking, decision-making, persuasion, problem-solving, active learning, social perceptiveness, effective writing, time management, coordination. Abilities:
Oral and written comprehension, deductive and inductive reasoning, problem sensitivity, multi-tasking, attention to detail, idea generation, originality. Physical Requirements:
Near vision, speech recognition and clarity, travel, occasional nights/weekends, sitting/standing, use of equipment. Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social/Digital Media, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related. At least 5 years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, and analytics, with proficiency in tools like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva. Experience in managing social campaigns, creating multimedia content, and measuring impact is required. Preferred Qualifications:
