Job Summary/Description: Gray Television's flagship station in Atlanta seeks passionate, creative, experienced producers to join their team. The role involves bringing local stories to life through daily live newscasts, selecting stories, scripting, video selection, and creating engaging graphics to enhance viewer understanding. The producer will also develop a vision aligned with the station's brand and collaborate with team members to produce high-quality broadcasts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Produce daily live, local newscasts, including story selection, scripting, and visual elements.
Create and implement a newscast vision based on brand pillars and audience research.
Coordinate with anchors, reporters, editors, and directors to ensure seamless broadcast execution.
Qualifications/Requirements: Required:
Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field.
At least 5 years of experience producing and anchoring live newscasts.
Excellent communication, writing, and time management skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines independently and in teams.
Flexible scheduling.
Samples of recent work required.
Preferred:
Experience in medium or large markets.
Experience with digital, streaming, and social media content.
Field and segment producing experience.
