About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for News Programming Finance to lead the financial support for the programming and newsgathering teams of its news and business networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of three professionals and will work closely with senior leaders to execute day-to-day priorities and key initiatives. This role involves leading the team in planning and communicating the financial implications of programming-related decisions, creating financial processes and operational reporting for the newsgathering operation, and playing a critical role in budget preparation, long-range planning, and financial management. The VP will also be expected to develop strong relationships with brand leaders, show teams, and HR, and to manage a high-functioning team. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in operational finance or financial planning and analysis, with a preference for those who have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to deliver on multiple assignments under pressure. The role requires solid financial modeling, communication, and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset, be proactive, and have the expertise to leverage financial data for strategic decision-making.
