Are you ready to lead marketing efforts for a growing company with a vibrant culture? Excel Services is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Manager to champion internal and external marketing initiatives that elevate our brand, engage our workforce, and drive business growth. This position plays a key leadership role in building visibility and impact for a respected Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) contractor serving commercial and industrial markets.
As Marketing Manager, you will oversee all marketing functions, including social media, brand strategy, content development, community engagement, and internal communications. You’ll lead planning, execution, and analysis of comprehensive marketing strategies that align with company objectives and help foster a connected, informed, and motivated workforce.
This role reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and collaborates closely with Business Development, Human Resources, and Operations to amplify our company’s message and impact.
Strategic Marketing Leadership (20%)
- Develop and implement an annual marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Lead branding initiatives and ensure consistent voice and messaging across all platforms and materials.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform messaging and positioning.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts including social media, SEO, and digital advertising campaigns.
- Develop and manage an editorial calendar for multi-platform content marketing.
- Guide the creation of engaging digital assets, including videos, graphics, reels, and blog content.
Internal Communications & Culture Building (20%)
- Drive internal communication strategies that enhance employee engagement and reinforce company culture.
- Oversee company-wide newsletters, announcements, digital signage, and HR communications.
- Lead planning of company events, celebrations, milestone recognitions, and wellness initiatives.
External Marketing & Brand Development (15%)
- Direct the creation of professional marketing materials including brochures, pitch decks, case studies, and branded proposals.
- Manage CRM tools and coordinate customer-facing campaigns.
- Support recruitment marketing efforts with compelling messaging and campaigns.
Client & Community Engagement (10%)
- Plan and execute customer appreciation events, trade show presence, and industry networking opportunities.
- Coordinate community involvement initiatives and charitable partnerships.
- Serve as liaison for media contacts, press releases, and public-facing announcements.
- Manage third-party vendors, designers, and printers to ensure quality and on-brand delivery.
- Provide mentorship and project oversight to any marketing support staff or interns.
Reporting & Analytics (5%)
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Use data-driven insights to adjust strategy and optimize return on investment (ROI).
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or strategic role
- Strong proficiency in content creation, digital marketing, and brand strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, engineering, or commercial service industries
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar tools
- Strong project management and event planning experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Google Analytics, and social media analytics tools
