Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday with occasional evenings and weekends
Advertised Salary:
$58,000+/year depending on experience and qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
•Accredited ALA or international equivalent MLS, MLIS, MSIS or MS; ALA-accredited Masters in Library Science.
•Experience providing library instruction in person or online, or experience with both.
•Knowledge of and/or experience in one or more areas of Allied Sciences, Health, Nutrition and Exercise Science, Sport Management, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Nursing.
•Experience working in an academic library or research setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with the faculty in the College of Health & Human Sciences, and all departments within, faculty, staff, and students to engage, provide support to, teach, and motivate students.
•Demonstrated commitment to the library as an academic support unit.
•Demonstrated ability to create a library environment that is welcoming and inclusive.
•Experience working with under-represented populations.
•Experience creating and implementing programs/services, and identifying collection development processes.
•Experience developing/delivering instruction in an academic library environment.
•Flexibility, resilience, and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment.
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in an environment committed to equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility.
•Knowledge of current trends and challenges facing research libraries, researchers, health and human sciences, and higher education.
