Are you passionate about music, Christian radio, and sharing with others how God has changed your life? Have you been told you have a great voice; do you have a love for storytelling, and making new friends? We want YOU to be a part of the Life 100.7 team! As a voice tracker you’ll have specific hours of the week that you’ll record great content for on-air at Life 100.7, that will complement and enhance the ministry.

Feel free to record on your phone, but you must include the following samples to be considered for the position:
- In one-minute or less share a story about your faith
- In one-minute or less tell a funny story
- state the station name “Life 100.7” three times
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Voice track entertaining programming that engages listeners in a professional and caring manner.
- Host music segments in accordance with music policy and stated format.
- Ad-lib short transitions well, espousing licensee’s goals and views.
- Work with Program Director and Station Manager to remain current on content expectations and formatics. Regularly communicate with Program Director regarding observations, problems, and suggestions.
- This position requires onsite work, as in-person presence is essential to the responsibilities and collaboration involved in the role.
What will it take to succeed in this position?
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous broadcast or related experience is not needed, but two years for broadcast experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with listeners in a caring and kind manner
- Ability to plan and execute an entertaining airshift
- Ability to effectively communicate spiritual truths
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Ability to respond in a professional manner in time-sensitive situations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as it pertains to attendance at special events
- Ability to complete necessary training during core business hours
- Self-starter with ability to work without close supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to work in an organized fashion completing projects accurately and within deadlines
- Knowledge and understanding of programming clocks and schedules
- Knowledge and understanding of radio station and FCC rules relating to broadcasting stations
- Ability to pass a background check upon hire and periodically throughout the course of employment
The work environment involves working for a suburban, Christian owned and operated radio station alongside those with a demonstrated commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission and values of Northwestern and an agreement to abide by all Northwestern policies.
What are the benefits of working at Northwestern?
Compensation Range: $18.73 – $20.81
Part-time positions are not eligible for benefits.
