Marketing Designer Specialist, ACA – Maryland Health Benefit Exchange Program
position, Grade G18, within the
Family Investment Division - Affordable Care Act (ACA).About the Position:
The Marketing Designer Specialist supports the implementation of the Affordable Care Act under the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. Maryland Health Connection (MHC), the state’s insurance marketplace, provides outreach, communications, and marketing support in the Capital South Connector Program. The local initiative is called Prince George’s County Health Connect. The position works under the guidance of the ACA Program Manager to ensure adherence with all protocols and best practices. The primary goal of this position will play a key role in strategizing and implementing Affordable Care Act initiatives under the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange within Prince George’s County.About the Agency:
The Prince George’s County Department of Social Services is in the business of providing opportunities for residents of the County to become independent, responsible and stable members of the community. We do this by providing intervention services that strengthen families, protect children and vulnerable adults, encourage self-sufficiency and promote personal responsibility. We assist our customers through such programs as Temporary Cash Assistance, Food Supplement Program, Medical Assistance, Emergency Assistance, and Foster Care and Adoption Service.Conduct comprehensive market research to identify customer trends and demographic data.Collaborate with creative teams to develop branding concepts, graphic designs, promotional materials, and advertising content.Identify and leverage effective marketing and promotional channels, including various media platforms, to communicate product messages to customers.Evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns and strategies by analyzing key performance metrics.Develop innovative marketing campaigns based on robust data analysis and present recommendations to management.Cultivate and maintain relationships with both new and existing partners through networking and prospecting efforts.Establish goals and objectives to engage customers through appropriate marketing channels.Support both outbound and inbound marketing activities, including event planning, advertising, optimization, and content development.Generate and refine ideas for creative marketing campaigns.Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience across various channels such as social media, email, and television.Assist in analyzing marketing data to inform future strategies and initiatives.Undertake individual tasks as assigned within the broader marketing plan.This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies aimed at promoting access to healthcare within Prince George’s County.A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business or a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Attention to detail for accurate analysis of data.Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.Team-oriented mindset with a strong ability to collaborate.Proficient leadership and managerial skills.Effective time management and multitasking abilities, including task prioritization.OTHER CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:Superior customer service.Ability to work well under pressure.Ability to excel in a team environment.Ability to lift 40 lbs.Ability to coordinate and facilitate one on one group meetings.Experience conducting research.EACH APPLICANT MUST INCLUDE INFORMATION WHICH CLEARLY DEMONSTRATES THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION.Preferred Qualifications:Experience leading or working in a large and high paced urban/suburban Human Services Agency.Job Location:
