We seek a talented and driven Associate Denim Designer to join our client's New York Team. This person will be crucial in shaping the brand's denim collection, which comprises young, fashion-conscious individuals who enjoy trendy, affordable styles that blend comfort and fashion.

- Design and develop innovative denim styles that cater to our fashion-forward, youthful customer base, incorporating the latest trends and fabric technologies.
- Will take a concept or direction and rapidly bring it to life without extensive guidance or revision cycles.
- Collaborate closely with the design, product development, and merchandising teams to translate the brand's vision into cutting-edge denim offerings that resonate with our target audience.
- Research and analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive offerings to inform design decisions and drive the brand's denim strategy. This ensures the brand stays ahead of the curve in delivering trendy, comfortable, and affordable denim options.
- Will participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to final production, ensuring seamless execution and delivering on-time, high-quality results that meet the expectations of our style-conscious, budget-minded customers.
- Provide design support and guidance to the broader design team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment that enables us to consistently deliver on-trend, affordable denim and casualwear that resonates with our youthful, style-conscious customer base.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of denim design experience, focusing on Juniors, Missy or Women's
- Able to work in a fast pace environment
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Strong communication skills as the factory is overseas.
- Ability to translate market trends and consumer insights into innovative and commercially viable denim designs that resonate with our style-conscious, budget-minded customer base
- Able to work in NYC, a team player, and open to travel.
