About the Team:
We are seeking a skilled Translation Specialist to accurately interpret written and audio pieces in various languages (specifically Spanish) while preserving their original meaning, format, and tone.
Your primary objective is to deliver high-quality, culturally relevant translations that align with our internal requirements, enhance engagement, and enable us to effectively reach a broader audience.
Your Role as a Translation Specialist:
- Read material and research industry-specific terminology.
- Translate material that will be distributed both internally and externally within its requested timeframe.
- Implement and support effective communication strategies to ensure translated content resonates with the target audience.
- Manage competing priorities and adhere to deadlines while working with the field communications team.
- Work with cross-functional teams to project and anticipate workload per week, month, and quarter.
- Review all relevant documents for translation inclusive of email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any platform content.
- Convert text and audio recordings from one language to one or more languages.
- Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
- Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations.
- Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of translation.
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
- Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs.
- Edit content to maintain its original format (e.g., font, design, and structure).
- Network with field experts to stay current on new translation tools and practices.
Craft your career with us if you have:
- Proven work experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal; additional languages are highly advantageous.
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
- Good knowledge of content editing tools.
- Familiarity with translation software.
- BSc in translation, interpreting, or a similar field.
- Additional certification in linguistics is a plus.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.
