Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Update and prepare promotional materials, including flyers, invitations, videos, digital communications, pamphlets, and brochures.Craft engaging narratives that highlight our mission and accomplishments, resonating with both industry professionals and youth.Support the communications department with strategic initiatives.Collaborate with the Digital Communications & Marketing Manager to coordinate Constant Contact emails and manage automation and drip campaigns.Design and develop digital assets for online platforms, including social media graphics, digital/print ads, email campaigns, and website pages, while assisting in managing the online presence.Investigate and develop copy for marketing materials, news stories, and feature articles by conducting interviews and performing research as needed.Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for content creation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and messaging.Assist with taking and editing photographs and videos at events.Work independently on various tasks, handling both heavy and light workloads as needed.Perform other related graphic design/marketing duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONSMust have great attention to detailExcellent writing and editing skillsBe able to communicate clearly and effectivelyStrong time-management and organizational skillsDegree (or in-progress) in marketing, communications, English, public relations or journalism preferredFamiliarity with all aspects of social mediaFamiliarity with email systems (Constant Contact)Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
This is a part-time, non-benefits position (15-20 hours a week). Compensation is anticipated to be $25-$30 per hour depending on experience. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and provide proof of auto insurance. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Final candidates will be asked to provide references. The selected candidate will be required to pass FBI and DOJ Background Checks for working with youth and minors before offer will be finalized. Candidate should be able to lift up to 40 pounds in office and/or event settings. No recruiters or third-party placement.
