Drive business success by developing innovative ways to communicate marketing messages through integrated marketing programs that include email, direct mail web, video, and collateral, and that support trade shows and eventsEnsure marketing messaging is consistent and drives key messages in an impactful wayWrite copy for marketing materials in a manner that is audience-appropriate, impactful, and follows writing best practicesEffectively interact with sales or other internal clients, as appropriate, to understand business needs and develop marketing approaches that meet those needsUtilize a metric-driven approach to determine which campaigns/programs are most effective and leverage these learnings to adjust future marketing activityManage and execute campaigns to ensure they are delivered in a timely mannerMaintain and manage project schedules, approvals, and other project-related needs utilizing the department’s project management softwareObtain product or service information by interviewing or requesting such information from necessary parties, including internal division subject matter experts or clientsWrite product sheets, brochures, case studies, newsletter articles, advertising, social media, and other material as requested by marketing leadershipProvide leadership or mentorship to junior members of the teamQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceAt least 6 years of marketing experienceAn understanding of marketing communications vehicles, including email, direct mail, collateral, video, web, and trade showsExperience effectively managing a variety of marketing projects and timelinesStrong writing skills and experienceKnowledge of AP styleSolid skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)An understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectationsTechnology/software industry and public sector experience preferredThe Senior Marketing Specialist must be able to:
Evaluate the marketing needs of key stakeholders, and develop and execute awareness and lead generation campaigns that meet those needsUnderstand and convey key messages and objectives in all sales and marketing collateralUnderstand customer needs and be able to incorporate a client perspective into communicationsEffectively work with subject matter experts across various departments to understand the product offerings and effectively market them to targeted audiencesEstablish priorities and meet deadlines, in conjunction with those set forth by marketing leadershipHandle multiple tasks with appropriate levels of supervision while paying close attention to detailsStay abreast of industry and marketing best practices, trends, ideas, tools, and technology
