Position Overview:
Work in collaboration with company subject matter experts to develop procedures, training materials, instructional documents, guidelines, maintenance, work instructions, and test procedures for Peter Paul products.
Preferred qualifications: Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Essential Job Functions:
- Research and collect information from various sources, including online help, manuals, white papers, design specifications, project plans, assembly procedures, bills of material, SolidWorks 3D drawings, test plans, and procedures.
- Write and maintain technical documents such as Operator Manuals, Training Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Technical Service Bulletins, Installation Instructions, Overhaul and Repair Instructions, Parts and Provisioning Documentation, Test Plans, and general Engineering Documentation, adhering to internal and customer specifications.
- Review and revise documents and procedures to standardize manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure clarity, conciseness, and technical accuracy in documents; incorporate photographs, drawings, diagrams, animations, and charts to enhance understanding.
- Participate in formal design reviews, generating notes and action items.
- Provide oral and written status and progress updates to management as directed.

Requirements:
- B.S. in a technical discipline preferred; relevant 2 years' experience in technical writing in a manufacturing environment may suffice.
- Ability to interpret system specifications, assembly/test procedures, engineering drawings, charts, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for periods.
- Use fingers, tools, or controls periodically.
- Operate a computer and office machinery regularly.
- Communicate effectively with internal staff.
