Permanent/Direct Hire Salary Range $65-70K, DOE Chicagoland area Hybrid; heavy field work Company vehicle included Other: $75/month cell phone allowance; potential annual bonus of up to 5% and a potential annual raise of up to 5% SUMMARY: The Construction Safety Coordinator will be responsible for: Attend safety walks, inspections, and/or regular meetings that may be required onsite Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe equipment operation Perform daily visual observations of the jobsite in addition to weekly documented site safety observations Be visible, involved, and accessible to craft personnel onsite while providing coaching and recommendations for safety improvements Fully understand safety documents, management tools, guidelines, and procedures Manage incident reporting and analysis process for unplanned events onsite. Understand and lead toolbox talk and implement daily JSA/JHA reporting Review pre-task plans to ensure they are being properly completed on a daily basis Implement site specific safety plans Manage and upload all project safety documentation Qualifications: 1-3+ years of related experience in Construction in a Safety role (DOT safety, work zone/road-side safety) Understanding of safety experience in the telecom, communications or utilities space – preferred Associate degree in Safety, Environmental Health or related field, or equivalent experience Safety certification is a plus OSHA 30 required DOT intermediate work zone certification, ATTSA Flagger certification highly recommended Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and auditor safety software Familiar with the OSP construction standards, codes, regulations, and safety practices – a plus. Knowledge of light and heavy equipment used in Outside Construction and Maintenance Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to travel frequently to various project sites Understanding of federal, state and city safety requirements, including OSHA About PRG With 20+ years of success in the staffing industry, Peyton Resource Group focuses on matching talent to the precise needs of our clients.
