General Description
The Project Manager is responsible for the daily planning, execution, and oversight of team responsibilities to achieve specific project goals. This role involves evaluating the scope of work required, setting clear standards for time, budget, and quality, and ensuring that all tasks are completed to meet expected outcomes and benefits. The Project Manager also plays a crucial role in motivating and guiding the project team while proactively identifying and managing potential risks to ensure successful project delivery. The project manager will deal directly with a team of creatives, so experience in critiquing design and UI / UX is a strong plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, feedback, project updates, and encouragement to team members;
- Lead a diverse team of designers, developers, and other creatives;
- Manage project milestones and deadlines and motivate the team to ensure timeliness;
- Monitor and report project progress, performance, issues, and successes to team leaders and stakeholders;
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed;
- Gather project tasks and ensure the timely delivery of completed work to clients;
- Document key points during client meetings, interpreting action items, and delegating tasks accordingly;
- Host project meetings at least once a week with the team and managers;
- Mitigate risks and strategize response plans to unforeseen setbacks, and changes in project scope, schedules, and resources.
Skills & Qualifications
- At least five years as a Project Manager;
- Experience working on a team with designers and the ability to critique designs;
- Basic understanding of design principles like color theory, typography, composition, user interface, and user experience (UI/UX) design;
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to guide a team such as motivation techniques and execute conflict-management;
- Computer literacy for spreadsheet and word processing software;
- Attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of the design and project are considered and addressed;
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively;
- Familiarity with calendar management and goal-setting;
- Knowledge of project management processes, familiarity with Agile and Scrum;
- Excellent communication skills to communicate amongst team and stakeholders;
- Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks and multiple projects;
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, reassess priorities daily, and adapt effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an agency;
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with a high workload;
- Familiarity with Monday.com (or other PM tools), Dropbox, Mailchimp, and Adobe Prototype;
- Proficiency in a second language such as Italian, Hebrew, or French.
