Sheppard Pratt School in Rockville is a nonpublic special education day school serving students ages 5-21 (grades K-12) with a range of needs including autism, development delay, emotional disability, multiple disabilities, other health impairments, specific learning disability, and speech or language impairments. Our small class sizes and individualized instruction ensure that students receive the attention and support they need to succeed academically and emotionally. Our team provides a supportive and structured environment that integrates specialized academic instruction, counseling, transition services, and behavioral modification tailored to each student’s unique needs.
What to expect.
You will work under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst to
implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and provide support
to students with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
Specific responsibilities include:
Assisting in the development and implementation of
individualized intervention plans (BIPs) . Collecting and accurately recording
data on client behavior
during intervention sessions. Assisting in conducting
functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
and ongoing assessments to monitor progress. Providing
training and support to caregivers and staff
on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies. Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development
activities to enhance skills and knowledge . What we need from you.
One of the following combinations of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience. Associate degree and 2 years of related experience. High school degree or GED and 4 years of related experience.
Must meet Sheppard Pratt's requirements to operate a company vehicle: Be 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience. Have a valid driver's license. Driving record with 2 points or less for the most 3 recent years of driving history.

The pay range for this position is $18.80/hr minimum to $27.86/hr maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
