Summary:
Crazy Shirts purpose is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on the endless vacation in everyday life. The Art/Production Designer supports this purpose by creating artwork that embodies and enhances the Crazy Shirts brand and producing separations for screen-printing using new and existing designs created by in-house and freelance designers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:Utilizes computer technology as well as various art mediums to create and present designs for specific markets or the company in general.Provides all pre-production artwork that meets designated design calendar timelines.Works closely with Art Team and Samplers to ensure quality work and appropriate flow of artwork.Works with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, and various other departments to ensure quality and consistency of art and designs.Prepare, produce and review art separations for designs created by self or other In-house Designers, Freelance Designers or others.Produces variations of existing designs and separations as required.Ensure that all separations, film and/or samples are appropriately set up for screen print production.Maintains design records and files.Continually researches new technology, ideas and processes to enhance art production processes.Other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient drawing skills and art knowledge a plusBachelors degree in art, graphic arts, textile design or related field preferred3 or more years of graphic design experience utilizing programs such as Adobe, Photoshop, Aldus Freehand and/or Adobe Illustrator requiredAbility to distinguish slight color variationsAbility to succeed in a dynamic and ever changing environment by learning new techniquesUnderstanding of color theory, composition, and valuePass the background screening processPHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and moving itemsMoving and standingSitting for long periods of timeOccasionally working with art related chemicalsThe use of appropriate PPEincluding eye and ear protection, and rubber gloves as needed for comfort.Must be able to abide by the companys Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response guidelines as it relates to the spread of communicable diseases, and workplace safety; this includes use of masks (as needed and required per CDC and Company recommendations) and the ability to use cleaning supplies for cleaning and disinfection purposes.
