Overview
This is a full-time on-site role for a Graphic Designer Prepress at Hart Label located in Pflugerville, TX. The Graphic Designer Prepress will be responsible for print production, print design, pre-press, and preflight activities on a day-to-day basis.
Print Production, Printing, and Print Design skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Knowledge of color management and printing processes
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
Trapping- Creating small overlaps between colors to prevent any gaps or white lines during printing, especially when dealing with two-color or multi-color printing.
Image manipulation - Retouching, cropping, and optimizing images for printing.
Quality control - Checking for any issues like misaligned text, low-resolution images, or incorrect fonts.
File preparation - Checking file formats, resolutions, and dimensions to ensure they are suitable for printing.
Color correction - Adjusting colors to match the desired output and account for potential variations in printing processes.
Help answering phone calls from customers etc.
