Job Description
We're hiring a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring our clients’ architectural dreams to life! You'll serve as an architectural drafter for our company, utilizing design software to produce 2D and 3D designs. Communication is vital for this position as you'll work directly with clients and incorporate their feedback into your designs. Our ideal applicant has a passion for delivering incredible customer service and is an experienced design engineer with extensive knowledge of surface and solid modeling. Compensation:$18 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:- Get feedback from the client and construction managers and revise designs as needed
- Choose the best material for modeling by researching material properties in large databases
- Work with construction team members to establish a timeline and budget for the design
- Meet with clients during the beginning of the project to get project specifications and scope
- Use design software to produce 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the complexity of the project
- Possess a firm grasp on the industry as a whole and stay up-to-date on evolving trends in architectural technologies
- Extensive knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion
- 2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in architectural design
- Highly attuned to detail and possess excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
- Minimum 2 years of CAD drafting and detailing experience
