Manages natural gas scheduling and optimization efforts for all U.S. Westlake locations, along with subsequent accounting activities. Develops industry contacts, projects, and contracts to ensure Westlake benefits from optimal reliability and pricing for natural gas. Executes spot natural gas purchasing strategies. Responsibilities
Manage marketing efforts for natural gas feedstocks, ensuring reliable product movement and maximum value. Develop, negotiate, and maintain effective natural gas supplier relationships and agreements. Use market analysis to forecast future price movements and margins impacting profitability. Participate in developing monthly price strategies. Engage in industry networking, including with suppliers, pipeline companies, brokers, and consultants. Support plant and operational functions to optimize cost, quality, and service. Support distribution, logistics, credit, and billing functions. Assist in developing long-term marketing strategies for natural gas. Prepare presentations for various business review meetings and updates. Generate monthly and quarterly reports benchmarking purchase performance against market indices, budgets, or peers. Contribute to annual budget development. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering, Business, Accounting, or Finance; MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years of natural gas experience; scheduling and/or gas accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of industry infrastructure, market factors, economics, transportation, storage, and business practices. Physical Demands
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work Environment
Moderate noise typical of an office setting. Some work in operational units requiring PPE. Possible exposure to outdoor elements, stairs, and elevators. Up to 5% travel, including air and auto travel. Additional Details
