Beauty Brand looking for a highly versatile and detail-oriented Packaging designer with a focus in Print Production to join our team. As a Print Production Designer, you will play a crucial role in preparing final packaging files for print. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of design tasks, including designing for packaging, laying out packaging designs for print, editing and creating preliminary die lines, and collaborating with graphic designers and the creative lead.
Responsibilities:
- Product Design: Conceptualize, design, and execute creative product designs that align with our brand's aesthetics and target audience. This includes creating artwork, patterns, and graphics for a variety of products, from apparel to accessories.
- Print Production: Formatting, resizing, and cropping images and graphics; applying color corrections, filters, and effects; creating and editing layouts, templates, and mockups; checking and fixing errors, typos, and inconsistencies; optimizing and exporting files for different platforms and devices; as well as following the brand guidelines and style guides.
- Licensing Collaboration: Understand and apply licensing partners' artwork requirements and style guides to develop licensed product lines that meet their brand standards and delight our customers. Collaborate on the design and approval process to create compelling co-branded merchandise.
- Content Creation: Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, create print-ready production files from digital mockups and from scratch, create custom dielines or modify existing ones for packaging.
- Design Software Proficiency: Utilize design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) to craft high-quality graphics and artwork.
- Quality Control: Proofread production files, maintain a high level of quality and consistency in design work, ensuring that the final products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the creative, marketing, and product development teams to bring design concepts to fruition. Collaborate on design projects and provide input on art direction.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design, with 2+ years of product packaging required.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field.
- Driven and creative individual with experience developing innovative package design in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of various package materials, properties, and decoration techniques.
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
- Proficiency in design software and tools.
- Strong creative and artistic skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work.
