The Thin Films Process Engineer is responsible for the wet thermal silicon oxidation, LPCVD deposition and high temperature reflow of doped oxides required for the manufacturing of advanced integrated photonic ICs assembled in the Silicon Valley PLC cleanroom, producing products for ultra-pure light lasers and optoelectronic products that transmit, receive and switch the highest speed over distance digital optical signals for Cloud and hyper-scale data center internet content provider and telecom networks. You will be working in a cross-functional team in a manufacturing environment to develop new materials and processes required to enable the next generation of PIC devices. You will be directly accountable for ensuring high process yield, product quality, equipment uptime, and on-time delivery including the application of SPC methodologies and root-cause investigations required for continuous process improvement. The successful candidate should have a strong engineering background, excellent communication and team working skills and a desire to solve complex problems in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities will include: Writing and training to standard operating procedures Monitoring module SPC charts, module uptime, yield and process CpK. Proactively identify defect modes, assist in the identification of root-cause and corrective actions. Clearly present observed defect modes to engineering team. Developing new process technologies and materials to enable the next generation of PLC devices. Skill requirements:
0-3 years of experience working in a semiconductor or related manufacturing environment with experience in Horizontal furnace anneal / BPSG reflow, LPCVD amorphous silicon deposition and/or wet/dry thermal oxidation of silicon. Skilled in thin film wafer level metrology including ellipsometry, stress, particle measurement as well as semiconductor wet bench chemical processing. B.S.or M.S. Degree in Engineering (Materials, Mechanical or Chemical preferred) Strong analytic skills to research findings and suggest recommendations Experience in training of production line operators/Techs to inspection procedures would be an asset Familiarity with ISO9001 would also be a plus. Must be able to work in cleanroom environment, including occasionally working with production chemicals in partnership with production staff.
Pay Range: P20-USA-1 :$62,510.00 - $89,300.00 Disclaimer:
