What You'll Do
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values
- Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
- Prospects, qualifies, and closes new commercial accounts that meet IMA criteria
- Identifies a target industry and/or market segment to focus network building, prospecting, and development of specialized knowledge on coverage situations, industry trends, and developments in commercial insurance impacting target clients
- Conducts needs review during initial and subsequent qualifying interviews with prospects
- Identifies and engages appropriate internal resources for qualified prospects, coordinates resources, and leads strategy meetings to determine the best approach for new account acquisition
- Takes full ownership of executing final proposal presentations, including preparation, coordinating team participation, leading the presentation, and closing the sale
- Proactively identifies and coordinates cross-selling opportunities with other sales units at IMA
- Enters and maintains all required information in Salesforce CRM
- Maintains client contacts in partnership with an Account Servicing team to ensure account retention
You Should Have
Required Experience and Skills include but are not limited to:
- 5+ years of direct B2B selling experience preferred
- Track record of exceeding sales expectations, demonstrated through documentation, recognition, or examples shared during the interview
- Experience in Commercial Insurance preferred but not required, with expertise in Commercial Property & Casualty and Group Benefits
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must currently hold or attain within 90 days Property & Casualty, and Life & Health licenses for the relevant state, and fulfill continuing education requirements
- Basic experience with MS Office products; intermediate aptitude preferred

Salary Range
$50,000 — $125,000 USD
