The Deets (AKA: Job Responsibilities)
Overview:
The Marketing Specialist will support the project management and execution of various marketing initiatives. This role requires a high-energy, collaborative, and communicative individual who is comfortable working cross-functionally and representing the company in both internal and external meetings.
Principal Responsibilities
- Project Management Assistance - Supports planning, logistics, and execution of initiatives. Tracks progress and coordinates tasks.
- Partner and stakeholder coordination - Assists in communications, scheduling, and coordination with external and internal stakeholders.
- Retail Marketing Programs - Assist in implementing promotional plans and merchandising efforts. Coordinates material delivery and timelines.
- Event/Activation Assistance - Assists in event logistics, documentation, and ensuring deliverables are met.
- Marketing Calendar Maintenance - Maintains and updates the Marketing calendar. Tracks campaign and project milestones.
- Creative and Brand Materials - Assists in creating materials and gathering content from cross-functional teams.
- Cross-functional Collaboration for Marketing Campaigns - Supports communication flow and task tracking between teams. Ensures assets and info are shared on time.
- Brand Integrity and External Representation - Assist in monitoring partner activities to ensure brand consistency. Assists with brand onboarding for partners and prepares training materials. Supports training logistics.
- Compliance and Policy Adherence - Supports documentation and compliance tracking.
- Sports Marketing Segment - Supports execution of sports marketing initiatives. Research opportunities and assist with outreach and activation planning.
- Other projects and duties as needed and/or assigned.
What do YOU bring to the table? AKA: Qualifications & Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, sales, or a related corporate role.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly present ideas and plans to stakeholders.
- Attention to detail with a strong ability to take projects from concept to completion.
- Flexible, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience collaborating across teams and with external partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
- A passion for continued growth in partner marketing and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with the marketing lifecycle and a comfort level working with creative, sales, and operational teams.
- Team-oriented and professional demeanor, able to take direction and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Affinity for the Sanrio brand and its characters and a strong awareness of pop culture are a major plus.
*Even though this is a hybrid position, candidates must be located in Southern California and able to work in our Torrance office at least 2 days per week.
