General Summary:
Roles and responsibilities:
As the memory ecosystem lead, the memory product marketing manager will oversee the memory technology trends. He/She will work with ecosystem partners and internal key stakeholders to strengthen the overall chipset product competitiveness and explore product requirements and new opportunities.
Execution and operation:
- Previous experience interacting with major memory vendors in China and globally, such as Samsung, Hynix, Micron, CXMT, Kioxia, WD, etc., understanding their processes and roadmaps.
- Good technical understanding of memory process node technology and trends, including packaging technology related to mobile compute, auto, and IoT products.
- Familiarity with OEM sourcing and component engineering teams in these product segments is a plus.
- Supply chain and sales channel understanding from Si wafer, module maker, package, and distribution channels serving Greater China regions.
Business acumen:
- Understanding of memory supply and demand trends, silicon and platform companies’ decision points, and leverage strategies.
- Able to analyze market trends and status including possible quarterly reports to BU leadership and China management team.
- Negotiate with memory vendors on schedule and cost to Qualcomm programs and support pricing analysis for customer design ins.
- Negotiate with vendors on memory lab collaboration.
- English and Chinese speaking, writing, contract/SOW creation and presentation skill sets.
Technical acumen:
- Able to work with engineering and validation teams and chipset teams on memory component selection for POR and configuration planning.
- Able to defend technical directions and selections for decisions made on memory configuration for reference design and influence SD team on other platform choices.
- Able to represent Qualcomm in memory technical conferences including possibly supporting JEDEC contribution and events with Qualcomm engineering.
- Able to work with engineering teams on studying new technology trends and customer differentiation needs.
- Able to do quarterly ecosystem technical roadmap reports for internal engineering and chipset teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
• Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 5+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
• High school diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
