Full-time, Monday - Friday, Hybrid
COMPENSATION:
$45,000 - $50,000
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Studio Manager manages and maintains administrative responsibilities for the MPS Digital Photography program. They will manage and maintain the organization of the Digital Photography Studio and Workspace.
The Studio Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and will work collaboratively with the Department Chair and engage students, faculty, and staff across the department and campus-wide.
The Master of Professional Studies in Digital Photography is an intensive degree one-year program that seamlessly blends the most current technical and aesthetic aspects of contemporary image-making. The program meets the needs of professional photographers, photographic educators and visual artists who want to advance their skills in digital image capture, image processing and high-quality output to remain competitive in a variety of image-making fields and professions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the Director of Operations and Chair in managing department administration, digital assets, and promotion activitiesSupport Director of Operations with social media postings and calendarAssist the Director of Operations with event video recordingsOversee assembly and supply of recruitment packetsManage maintenance of studio and workspaceManage events and calendars for the studio and workspaceSupport students with proper studio equipment usagePerform other job-related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required1-2 years of administrative experience required1-2 years of experience with photography and videoComputer Skills required and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel; Adobe applications: Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Illustrator, InDesign.Experience with social media platformsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher in photography, film or videoExperience and proficiency with graphic design and printingExperience with creating and editing video contentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Effective written and verbal communication skillsStrong Interpersonal skillsStrong organizational, time, and administrative skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work in an office and studio academic environmentAbility to occasionally work outside normal business hours
