Urban is currently seeking Civil Engineering Project Managers with 5+ years of experience in land development, design and water resource projects.
Successful candidates will be responsible for leading and managing
land development
engineering projects. The position is based in our Annandale or Chantilly, VA office.
Our Ideal Candidate has: A
B.S. in Civil Engineering
from an accredited university. An EIT certification (highly preferred). High proficiency in
designing, preparing and processing land development applications in Northern Virginia jurisdictions. Experience with Residential, Commercial and Mixed-Use Land Development Projects. The ability to make
well-informed and sound design decisions based on their knowledge of civil engineering concepts
and locality requirements. The knowledge to contribute to the preparation of
full sets of construction plans . The
technical expertise in civil engineering design, including site grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure. The
depth of knowledge
to ensure the excellence across all completed work products. Strong proficiency with
AutoCAD and Microsoft Office . Excellent written and oral communication skills
to effectively communicate design updates. Strong
Time and Project Management
Skills. A Customer Focused mindset committed to delivering excellence in all work products.
Typical Duties Will Include
but not limited to : Creation of CAD drawings
and details for site and subdivision plans. Site Layout and Utility design. Horizontal and Vertical
design of roadways. Preparation of
erosion and sediment control plans . Generating hydrologic computations for
stormwater management facilities . Performing
pavement design computations . Performing
site distance analysis. Preparing site work
quantity take-offs. Coordination with
internal and external engineers, architects, county reviewers,
etc.
