We are an advertising and marketing firm seeking a remote public relations specialist to shape and amplify our brand and client narratives across multiple channels. In this role, you will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to craft compelling stories, engage with media outlets, and maintain a positive public image for both our agency and our clients. The role is a dynamic opportunity to drive integrated communication strategies and build strong brand reputations all while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute PR strategies: Create comprehensive public relations campaigns aligned with marketing goals to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
Media relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers; pitch story ideas to secure press coverage and partnerships.
Content creation: Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, newsletters, and other PR materials that effectively communicate key messages and news.
Campaign coordination: Collaborate with advertising, marketing, and social media teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrate PR efforts with broader marketing campaigns.
Monitor and respond: Track media coverage and public sentiment, manage any crisis communications, and provide feedback or adjustments to strategies based on media trends and campaign performance.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Education & experience: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Proven experience (2+ years) in PR or communications, preferably in an agency or marketing firm environment.
Communication skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling stories and press materials. Strong editing, proofreading, and presentation abilities are a must.
Media savvy: In-depth knowledge of media outlets, social media platforms, and current industry trends. Ability to leverage media contacts and influencer relationships to gain coverage.
Strategic thinking: Solid understanding of branding and marketing principles. Creative mindset with strong strategic thinking to develop campaigns that align with business objectives and audience interests.
Remote collaboration: Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a remote setting. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines using digital collaboration tools, while maintaining proactive communication with team members and stakeholders.
