Immediate need for a talented Graphic Designer - Packaging. This is a 02+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Pawtucket, RI (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range : $25 - $30 / hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities :

• Under the direction of the Creative Manager, conceptualize, design, and execute package designs for the Play-Doh brand.
• This 3-month rotation is responsible for leading graphic design and execution of packaging and ECOMM guides.
• Design package and ECOMM guides, including:
• Utilizing team insights to guide item-level design decisions.
• Understanding brand strategy, as well as Marketing, Engineering, and Design & Development objectives.
• Conceptualizing and presenting innovative concepts to meet brand messaging objectives, deliver play experience, and story.
• Directing photo shoots (model and product), illustration / illustrators, and outside design resources as needed.
• Providing progress reports.
• Collaborate with development teams, including:
• Initiating and attending team meetings, project kick-offs, approval meetings, and status meetings.
• Monitoring and abiding by legal, licensor, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage projects and delegate individual assignments, including:
• Driving multiple projects through various stages of development.
• Delegating design projects to Client production designers, internal agency temps, and outside vendors.
• Prioritizing work to support high-quality results.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience :

• Skills in Packaging, production / printing process, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Word, Excel.
• Contribute to creative strategy with cross-functional teams on individual projects.
• Strong understanding of production and printing processes.
• Ability to plan and produce artwork within deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• High level of creativity, passion, and integrity.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Organized, able to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to thrive in a changing environment.
• B.F.A. in Graphic Design or Fine Arts, or equivalent experience.
