Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Radio Frequency Engineer based in Lawrence, KS. The Radio Frequency Engineer will be responsible for RF and circuit design, working with network analyzers and spectrum analyzers, and developing RF circuits. Day-to-day tasks will include designing, testing, and optimizing radio frequency systems to enhance the efficiency and reliability of broadband infrastructure equipment. The engineer will also collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure high standards of product performance.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop RF circuit and subsystem solutions. These should be robust, cost effective, and delivered on time in line with new and emerging technologies, including design and test verification, under appropriate supervision.
- Responsible for generating schematics, Bills of Material (BOMs), and Design Verification (DVT) results and reports.
- Hands-on development and verification of RF circuitry using network and spectrum analyzers, measurements including frequency response, return loss, insertion loss, isolation and HUM performance.
- Work with clients on customized OEM projects, which entails circuit board design, testing and developing recommendations to improve the product performance.
- Prepare and review technical reports that measure the product's performance and ensure that it meets client specifications.
- Future product development includes comfort level with Fiber Optic Premise Devices which includes a desire to learn about the associated firmware.
Qualifications
Desirable Skills (Not all necessary)
- Familiar with the use of Spectrum Analysers, Network Analysers and Digital signal generators.
- Experience soldering and building prototypes.
- Knowledge of Analog communication and modulation.
- Knowledge of Transceiver design, impedance matching, filter design and low noise amplifiers.
- RF circuit simulation, analysis and optimization for 50ohm and 75ohm systems in the frequency range of 2MHz to 5GHz.
- Knowledge of RF wave propagation.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team, both internally and with external resources.
- Excellent time, communication, organizational, task management and inter-personal skills.
- Fluency in Mandarin or Spanish is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Degree in Electrical and Electronic, Radio Frequency or Communication Engineering preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and effectively communicate technical information.
- Knowledge of circuit simulation KiCad, Altium, or other PC Board design software.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as Solidworks.
