This manager will report to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO).Overview:
The Sales Finance Director is responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and analysis to support the sales and marketing organization in achieving its goals. This role is critical in shaping our sales strategy, optimizing revenue, and ensuring financial transparency within the sales department. The Sales Finance Director will serve as a business partner to the Sales and Marketing organization, offering proactive recommendations and solutions. This role will lead the Sales Finance department, overseeing and guiding the performance of team members.Individual Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales Finance strategy aligned with the company's objectives.Provide financial leadership and guidance to the Sales Team, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes as well as monthly variance analysis, opportunity, and risk updates to the guidance forecast.Establish Best in Class processes to ensure Trade and Marketing Investments are controlled, reconciled, reviewed, and analyzed.Review and reconcile Trade Spending forecasts with Sales Leads on a Quarterly basis.Analyze productivity drivers, identify risks and opportunities to business performance, work cross-functionally to implement or support recommended actions.Analyze sales performance and market trends to drive revenue growth.Collaborate with Sales leadership to set and monitor sales targets, quotas, and incentive structures.Develop and manage Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting across the Sales organization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and implement sales effectiveness initiatives.Manage and mentor a team of Sales and Marketing Finance Managers within the Sales Finance department.Participate in S&OP Demand Planning Step to provide perspective on demand outlook.People Leader:
The director will have four Sales Finance Managers and one Finance Marketing Manager reporting to him/her. In addition, there is a Finance Analyst direct report to assist with analysis.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).10+ years of experience in Finance.CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) experience in the food, candy, snacking, and/or confectionery categories.Minimum 5+ years’ experience providing financial analysis to sales teams that include forecasting, P&L, ROI, and profitability.Experience with sales finance, including trade spend, trade promotions, analysis, and ROI.Proven experience in sales finance, financial planning, and analysis (FP&A), or a related role.Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales teams and stakeholders.Strategic thinking and the ability to align financial strategies with business objectives.Trade Promotion Management software experience, preferred.High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.Proven experience in finance and sales management.Professional-level presentation skills to various levels of organizational leaders.Work Environment:
