Our client is a medium sized business within the live entertainment space. They have grown quickly in the last few years and are now looking to bring in a CFO that will help them reach the next level. They have ambitious plans to continue their growth, but also to ensure their infrastructure is in a strong place to support this.
Description
- Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership and oversee the finance and accounting departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Accounting Oversight: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, manage month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- M&A Activities: Spearhead mergers and acquisitions (M&A) initiatives, including due diligence, valuation, integration, and strategic alignment with the company's growth strategy.
- Infrastructure Improvement: Enhance and optimize financial and accounting infrastructure, including systems, processes, and controls, to support scalable growth and operational efficiency.
- Growth Strategy Support: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategies for growth, including new business opportunities, market expansion, and investment initiatives.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
- Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors and stakeholders, providing transparent and compelling financial reporting and updates.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 6 years in a CFO role.
- Proven experience in managing accounting and finance teams, driving financial strategy, and overseeing M&A activities.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and infrastructure development.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of financial and operational metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives, investors, and other stakeholders.
