The Team
The Brand Team functions as an internal marketing, creative, and communications agency that serves the entire Mount Vernon Organization, including the School, MVSO, the Virtual Global Campus, and Ventures, the educational consultancy. The team includes the Chief Brand Officer, Director of Web Development & Digital Experience, Creative Director, and Graphic Designer, each contributing to strategic storytelling, visual design, and digital engagement. Highly collaborative and primarily in person with some hybrid flexibility, this team leverages digital tools and frequent touchpoints to produce an incredible amount of high-quality assets that elevate and extend the Mount Vernon identity.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Web Development and Digital Experience, the Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of marketing and creative initiatives. This individual will oversee print production, manage a high volume of creative projects, and coordinate photography assets for the organization. Ideal candidates will not only be highly organized and detail-oriented but will have a proactive mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and a willingness to learn and lean in wherever support is needed.
Responsibilities
Print Production & Equipment Management Serve as the primary print production coordinator, ensuring high-quality execution of marketing materials such as: Postcards, posters, and event signage Admissions LookBooks and guides Philanthropic annual reports Brochures, newsletters, and branded collateral Operate and maintain in-house printers and cutting equipment to ensure consistent output and optimal performance, while also managing relationships with external service vendors to ensure timely support and maintenance when needed Experience with Fiery software for print job management is preferred; a willingness to learn is a must Monitor paper and printing supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain appropriate inventory levels Work with external print vendors as needed for specialty projects, ensuring quality control and cost efficiency Creative Operations & Project Coordination Organize and track a high volume of creative projects across various departments and initiatives Use Monday.com or other project management software to manage workflows, assign tasks, and track deadlines (experience required) Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Graphic Designer, and Chief Brand Officer to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all materials Coordinate logistics for photo shoots, including scheduling photographers, securing permissions, and managing digital photo archives Develop and maintain a system for organizing all photography assets, making them easily accessible for internal use Campus Integration & Content Engagement Stay up to date with school events, learning showcases, and campus happenings to help capture real-time content and support storytelling initiatives Be a visible and engaged presence in the school community, building relationships that foster meaningful, authentic brand content Support the creative team by gathering content from around campus and contributing to the school’s visual storytelling efforts Cross-Team Collaboration Work closely with the Admissions and Advancement teams to support marketing needs Jump in as needed to support activations, presentations, and other school-wide initiatives Be a reliable, collaborative, and curious teammate, always willing to pitch in, grow your skill set, and help bring big ideas to life
Core Competencies
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of print production processes, Fiery software, printers, and cutting machines is preferred; willingness to learn is required Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to cultivate respectful and affirming environments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field 2+ years experience in marketing coordination, print production, or project management preferred Agency account management experience preferred Experience with Monday.com or other project management software is a must Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and digital asset management systems preferred
