Description
We are looking for an experienced CMMC Tech Writer to join our team in Costa Mesa, California. In this role, you will develop, manage, and maintain critical documentation related to cybersecurity compliance. This is a long-term contract position requiring a motivated individual with a strong background in technical writing and cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures, ensuring effective organization and storage within Confluence.
- Collaborate with technical SMEs to gather input, unify content, and facilitate peer reviews.
- Lead efforts in preparing and updating 35 key documents to align with cybersecurity standards.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and ensure alignment across teams.
- Update and manage Confluence pages, ensuring documentation is current and accessible.
- Review and refine PowerPoint presentations for communication purposes.
- Work closely with system owners and teams to ensure accurate technical and procedural documentation.
- Support development of business requirement documents (BRDs) and other technical documents for compliance.
- Assist with audit preparation by organizing and presenting documentation.
- Ensure documentation aligns with cybersecurity policies, standards, and risk protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in cybersecurity or information security.
- Strong expertise in developing and managing BRDs and technical documentation.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity standards, policies, and compliance.
- Proficiency in tools like Confluence for documentation management.
- Experience coordinating meetings and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with risk assessment, configuration management, and security incident response.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation adhering to cybersecurity standards and audit requirements.
