Job Title: Industrial/Graphic UI Designer

Pay rate: $31 per hour

Duration: 3 months

Location: Batesville, IN 47006 (Hybrid at least 3 days in Batesville Office)

Description

We are seeking an Industrial/Graphic UI Designer to work closely with product development teams to ideate and conceptualize new product features and enhancements for our medical device portfolio. The role involves providing design support for projects, focusing on concept visualization, user interface design, and product labeling.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as a key resource on the Global Design team based in Batesville, IN.
2. Collaborate with R&D teams, including New Product Development, Engineering, Marketing, and Market Research.
3. Work with internal and external customers to determine design requirements, brainstorm ideas, and create visuals for user interfaces and labels.
4. Follow the directions from the Global Design group on priorities and tasks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in a B.S. or B.A. program in Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
• Self-motivated, professional, highly creative, and able to work independently.
• Ability to apply HCI principles to translate customer requirements into effective UI concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Mac and PC environments.
• Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD, KeyShot, Strata 3D CX, or SolidEdge is a plus.
• Ability to produce presentation materials and sketches; experience with user testing is a plus.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week with some flexibility depending on project needs. The position is hybrid, requiring at least 3 days onsite, and applicants must have personal transportation.
