Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Admin & Business Intelligence (BI) Designer/Report Developer who will be responsible for designing and implementing systems that enable business users at IDHW to leverage operational data for actionable insights and decision-making. This role involves the creation of business intelligence tools, reporting dashboards, and supporting the integration of analytical queries to help IDHW track and manage Medicaid data. The ideal candidate will have experience with large healthcare datasets, Tableau, data warehousing, and analytics/reporting tools.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement BI systems and processes that enable effective data integration for business intelligence use across IDHW Build, maintain, and optimize Tableau reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for IDHW teams Perform quality assurance to ensure that the BI tools and reports are accurate, reliable, and user-friendly Work with stakeholders to gather report and dashboard requirements and translate them into BI solutions Provide support for analytical queries, assisting business users in leveraging data to meet operational needs Manage and maintain data archiving processes for historical BI data storage and retrieval Integrate Medicaid data and other healthcare datasets into BI tools, ensuring data consistency and quality Continuously improve the design and functionality of the BI tools to enhance user experience and effectiveness
Qualifications:
Minimum of four (4) years of experience with large healthcare datasets, data warehousing, business intelligence tools, and reporting At least two (2) years of experience in large-scale automated systems, particularly in Medicaid operations, fiscal agent environments, or similar healthcare systems Proficiency with Tableau and experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports Strong knowledge of data integration processes and tools Proven ability to manage and maintain quality BI tools and ensure they meet business requirements
Preferred:
Experience working with Medicaid data and understanding of healthcare operations Familiarity with ETL processes, SQL, and other data integration tools Strong communication skills to interact with business users and ensure the BI tools meet their needs Experience with Power BI, QlikView, or other BI tools is a plus
