Job Summary:
Sega of America (SOA) is seeking a Communications Manager who will drive product PR campaigns and collaborate on earned influencer strategies for key brands across North and South America. You will craft and tell the story of each game to players, media, and content creators. Reporting to SOA’s Senior Director of Communications, the ideal candidate has at least 4 years of public relations experience in the gaming industry and a passion for games and players. This role supports Creative Assembly and Sports Interactive franchises, including Total War and Football Manager.

Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the Americas communication strategy for multiple game launches, collaborating with marketing, transmedia, studio development, and community teams.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned titles and represent SEGA IP to media and influencers.
- Organize and attend live or virtual events such as media tours and presentations.
- Act as the main contact for media relations in NA and LATAM, working with agency partners.
- Coordinate with UK studios and Sega West teams to execute preview and review strategies for maximum press coverage.
- Manage US and LATAM PR agencies, overseeing daily activities and promotions.
- Handle all PR assets, including creation, approval, and distribution to meet PR targets.
- Draft and approve press releases, advisories, newsletters, and messaging materials.
- Oversee earned content creator programs with NASA and EMEA teams, covering streaming and VOD.
- Analyze campaign results with PR analytics tools like Meltwater or Level Up.
- In-office work is essential for supervision, collaboration, and effective communication among team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of public relations experience, preferably in gaming.
- Experience with PC-focused Strategy and Sports IPs.
- Strong media relationships in NA and LATAM.
- Excellent project management and PR planning skills, with global coordination experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the gaming media landscape and competitive products.
- Strong verbal, written, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency with Photoshop, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PR measurement tools is preferred.
- Flexibility to work with overseas teams.
- Positive, professional attitude.
- Additional media contacts and relationships are a plus.
- Experience with first-party communication tools and working with development teams is advantageous.
