Video Editor / Motion Designer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor / Motion Designer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. This role requires a strong eye for design, storytelling, and attention to detail—someone who can bring both technical skill and creative flair to every frame.
Hours: Undecided: 12pm-8pm, either Monday-Friday or Wednesday-Sunday. (Breaking news may require shift changes.)
All candidates must include a link or copy of your reel (your own work) to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Edit video content with a keen eye for pacing, rhythm, and storytelling using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Design and animate high-quality motion graphics in Adobe After Effects.
- Collaborate with producers, editors, and creatives to deliver visually compelling work that enhances the overall project.
- Maintain consistency in style, branding, and tone across all deliverables.
- Interpret creative briefs and elevate content through thoughtful design and editing.
- Receive and apply feedback with flexibility and professionalism.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics.
- High-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Strong design aesthetic and attention to visual detail.
- Must submit a reel or portfolio showcasing recent work.
- Understanding of editing nuances, timing, and narrative flow.
- Excellent sound design and color correction skills.
- Availability for backup on-call rotation.
- Positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented attitude.
- Excellent attendance and time management.
- Strong communication skills and team player mindset.

The pay range for this role is $92,000.00-$93,000.00 annually, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. This role offers benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits as per plan documents. Benefits for union employees will be in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
