Our regionally accredited institution comprises the College of Nursing and the College of Health Professions. The College of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at 23 locations and online programs including RN to BSN, RN to MSN, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with six specialty tracks, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). The College of Health Professions provides online degrees such as a Master of Public Health, Master of Physician Assistant Studies, and a Master of Social Work.

Job Description
- Collaborate with team members to develop evidence-based, cost-effective service models that enhance online learning and library engagement.
- Design and deliver user-centered instruction sessions, workshops, and tutorials supporting information literacy.
- Create and maintain online instructional resources in coordination with librarians to support independent learning.
- Ensure library and information services meet accreditation standards.
- Serve as liaison to academic programs, promoting library services and collections.
- Provide detailed reports on library activities.
- Offer virtual reference and research services via Springshare’s LibApps platform, including chat, appointments, and workshops.
- Stay updated on emerging online learning technologies and research support best practices in health sciences.
- Be available for one weekend shift as needed and weeknight availability until 6 pm CT is preferred.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to respond quickly to student inquiries via live chat
- Experience with health sciences literature searches (PubMed, CINAHL, ProQuest, etc.)
- Proven research assistance in online/virtual environments
- Strong teaching skills and knowledge of pedagogical best practices for online instruction
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, focusing on supporting virtual students
Preferred
- Experience in academic or health sciences libraries
- Familiarity with Springshare’s LibApps, ExLibris Primo, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with collaboration tools like WebEx or Teams
- Experience with research consultations and literature searches for faculty scholarship
- Interest or experience in health sciences librarianship areas such as evidence-based practice or systematic reviews
Additional Information
The salary range is $49,000 to $88,000, adjusted based on experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include health insurance, 401k with 6% match, flexible time off, and paid holidays.
