Overview
As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will spearhead the creation of the tools used by visual design artists, designers, and engineers to create user interfaces. You’ll work from concept through development and collaborate with internal users to achieve your goals. You will work directly with a team of product managers, engineers, and other cross-discipline stakeholders to guide user-centric product design and planning.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with the team’s Product Manager and Tech Lead to come up with solutions for research-informed user challenges.
- Create rapid prototypes to test the most risky solution ideas and get them in front of real users to learn and iterate early in the development process.
- Deliver an appropriate level of design artifacts for the team (e.g., discovery/research results, journey maps, flows, wireframes, mockups, and/or prototypes).
- Partner with a Product Manager to break down large projects for agile teams to be able to ship value incrementally.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience designing digital experiences, products, tools, or platforms as a User Experience Designer or Interaction Designer.
- Strong demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype complex user workflows using Figma or other industry standard tools.
- Experience planning and facilitating user research to test prototypes and quickly iterate based on learnings.
- Candidate must be local to the LA area to make on-campus collaborations.
Desired Qualifications:
- 6+ years experience in user experience design or interactive design.
- B.A. in Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related field.
- Experience creating UI in game engines like Unity/Unreal/Godot.
