Photography Strategy Specialist (Finance)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Photo Strategy Specialist plans, coordinates, and manages the execution of visual content projects across multiple marketing channels. This role ensures adherence to project performance targets including timing, cost, quality, and achievement of proposed benefits/return, with a focus on creating cohesive visual narratives. The Photo Strategy Specialist gathers creative requirements, establishes visual strategy plans, and oversees the execution of photo-centric projects. They interact with various creative teams, marketing departments, and clients to align visual direction, optimize resource utilization, and ensure projects maintain their critical path. This role bridges the gap between creative vision and practical execution, synthesizing diverse inputs into unified visual strategies that elevate cohesion and effectiveness.
PLEASE NOTE: This open role is for our part-time Flex Force bench. As a Flex Force employee, you'll work on a project-by-project basis as needed, meaning hours will vary. We are estimating about 15 hours a week for this position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects, analyzes, and understands project requirements.
- Develops and maintains project plans, including documentation of project scope, objectives, deliverables, key milestones, timelines, schedules, internal and external resources, project dashboards, etc.
- Communicates with producers the project status, requirements, and structure across the Project Management team and all necessary departments.
- Defines potential problems and suggests alternatives based on cost implications, time constraints, and customer quality standards.
- Analyzes the project's cost structure and any significant deviations from the approved cost structure.
- Collaborates with financial controllers, manufacturing, sales/marketing, and purchasing teams in project definition, feasibility, and approval process.
- Manages day-to-day progress of assigned projects, including risk assessment and problem resolution.
- Conducts project reviews as assigned, following prescribed processes and structures.
- Serves as the main day-to-day contact on current projects for internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Attends project planning meetings with producers; serves as a subject matter expert regarding workflow, processes, capacity, timelines, etc.
- Assists with the Studio Manager in implementing workflow management and reporting tools focusing on quality, profitability, efficiency, and productivity.
- Participates with the Studio Manager in developing or adapting processes, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, speed, and quality.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of team members to ensure goals are achieved; mentors, coaches, trains, and develops team members.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or related field; advanced degrees (MBA, Master's) preferred, especially in Design and Photography.
- 6+ years of project management experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Occasional travel may be required locally, nationally, or internationally.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite, and internet applications.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, and planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization and with clients.
- Ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to influence peers and senior management.
- Self-motivated with keen attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
