Senior Associate, Prospect Marketing, Card Partnerships
We’re looking for an experienced marketing strategist to develop and manage omnichannel marketing prospect campaigns on Capital One’s rapidly growing Card Partnerships business. This Senior Associate role will report to the Director, Prospect Marketing and will get the opportunity to work on several of the most admired brands in the world, including BJ’s, REI, Bass Pro Shops, and Williams Sonoma.
This role is at the center of our rapidly growing portfolio of client/partner card programs and will work on the team responsible for prospect marketing innovation across the funnel (awareness generation, consideration, and conversion). Responsibilities include the creation of initial launch campaigns for new client/partner card programs, as well as continuous improvement of new customer acquisition results for established card products.
The successful candidate is customer-centric and data-driven with an understanding of multi-channel best practices in developing, managing, and executing new customer prospecting campaigns. He/she must have both upper funnel and direct response marketing experience and should thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Manager, Prospect Marketing to strategize and build marketing campaign approaches for launching new Capital One card partners: reviewing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement or testing, building out a learning agenda and executing.
Leverage customer insights, performance results, and creative thinking to set clear goals and devise effective prospect marketing campaigns.
Ensure on-time, on-budget deliverables. Identify any potential impediments to autonomously problem solve, or escalate to leaders for help as necessary.
Launch new strategies across paid and owned (both Capital One and Partner) channels to encourage adoption of partner products.
Serve as the ambassador to share prospect insights with other teams in Card and across Capital One.
Partner with Enterprise teams to ensure new prospect experiences are designed to meet Partnerships needs.
Champion the brand, ensuring that all marketing aligns to respective brand personas, voice, and style guides.
Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams including creative/media agencies, analytics, research, operations, legal, and client/partner.
Leverage customer insights, campaign performance results, and partner needs when developing marketing initiative recommendations impacting marketing plan and/or creative strategy.
The Ideal Candidate:
Demonstrates strong curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and think creatively to uncover and apply actionable consumer insights.
Has experience with cobrand credit card marketing for partner or financial institutions, or similar experience.
Has an understanding of Digital Marketing channels like Paid Social, SEM, Programmatic, Display, Video, and Connected TV - specifically Google and Meta products.
Has a passion for leveraging data, metrics, and insights to drive results and learnings.
Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work.
Thrives on collaboration, the opportunity to build in white space, and the drive for results.
Is a highly effective communicator who can influence internal decision-makers with formal recommendations and informal networking.
Proactive in identifying opportunities and improvements.
Ability to easily pivot in an environment with shifting priorities.
Adept at briefing and collaborating with creative teams, external agencies, and internal resources, on the development of marketing assets.
Maintains an understanding of external environmental trends, industry trends, and competitor trends to spark fresh ideas and ensure team capabilities can meet the evolving marketplace.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
At least 2 years of experience in marketing or project management.
At least 2 years experience in planning, executing, and analyzing marketing programs.
At least 2 years of experience managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams, and developing creative optimization frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years in the financial services industry.
At least 2 years in the retail industry.
At least 2 years in brand management.
Experience with omnichannel marketing campaign launch planning.
Experience with fully integrated buzz marketing campaigns.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
