Conde Nast is looking for a Senior Commerce SEO Analyst within the Commerce organization, reporting to VP/Executive Director of Portfolio OF brands. Focusing on the Affiliate Commerce business, the team works closely with our editorial, audience development, and analytics groups to figure out ways to acquire new users from search and to ensure the highest level of discoverability for content across digital platforms. In this role, your work will make a huge impact across 11 Condé Nast brands.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven highly organized individual with a search engine optimization background, specifically with in-house or agency experience with content SEO research & analytics in the digital content industry. This role will focus on SEO reporting and analytics using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush and many other SEO tools. The Senior Commerce SEO Analyst is an analytic subject matter expert and will be responsible for identifying and sharing traffic, ranking, keyword, revenue, and KPI insights to drive content SEO decisions on pages that drive affiliate revenue. Expertise with traffic analytics tools is a must but we are also looking for people with a proven track record with SEO, content insights experience, and who have used data to feed into content planning in previous positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying key opportunities in SEO both based on evolving landscape in partnership with Audience team and category/content opportunities for the portfolio.
- This role will operationalize the tactics associated with the strategic direction for all search optimization efforts as well as perform content audits and optimizations to improve search traffic to support Commerce Revenue in key brands and categories.
- Ability to develop tactics that are actionable and measurable as well as communicate strategic importance to all stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Commerce Team and SEO Team to define and meet growth KPIs.
- Analyze, identify & manage affiliate revenue SEO initiatives and opportunities.
- Dedicated to supporting SEO for all affiliate data & commerce traffic requests for select brands.
- Build and maintain weekly, monthly & quarterly commerce SEO reports tracking content performance, revenue, traffic analytics, and search trends.
- Provide insight that will grow search traffic, conversion rates, and revenue.
- Apply data mining and information gathering techniques to identify and interpret patterns and trends in search.
- Conduct shopping content gap analyses across Conde Nast brands.
- Implement enterprise keyword research and tracking at scale.
- Proactively communicate traffic insights to Commerce Team and SEO Team.
- Collaborate with SEO Team on case studies to help define new best practices.
- Develop and maintain robust search traffic forecasts to support the Commerce Team and SEO Team.
- Stay up-to-date on latest algorithm updates, new tools, industry trends & news.
Skills & Qualifications
- Expert in data analysis with 5 plus years of experience in SEO required.
- Strong experience in SEO.
- Familiarity with SQL is a must.
- Must be fluent in Excel / Google Sheets.
- Expert user with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio.
- Expert user of SEO tools: SEMrush or Searchmetrics.
- Expert user with crawling tools: Botify, Screaming Frog SEO Spider.
- Strong understanding of HTML and JavaScript.
- Affiliate/ecommerce experience and Publisher experience is required.
- Committed to presenting a compelling story & actionable insights with data.
- Passion for problem-solving & curiosity-driven approach to research.
- Experience with working in content management systems (CMS).
- A collaborative & proactive team player.
- Be able to weave information together from a variety of sources to form actionable insights.
- Ability to prioritize & balance projects and adhere to timelines.
- Ability to clearly articulate and present initiatives to editorial and SEO teams alike.
This is a guild position.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $80,000-$95,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
