In addition, the Senior Media Relations and Communications Lead will work closely with all BHCHP’s stakeholders to create effective content to best position BHCHP externally.Hours: Part-time: 20 hours per week, actual schedule to be determinedResponsibilities:+ Serve as BHCHP’s media point-of-contact+ Manage crisis communications and proactively and consistently engage and communicate with the media to create media coverage that advances BHCHP’s reputation+ Work directly with the Senior Director of Communications to craft and pitch to media strong story concepts+ Work with BHCHP Communications team to develop and produce an overall Communications strategy with editorial calendars+ Proactively seek out story ideas and relevant information from BHCHP staff and Communications team and work with the Senior Director of Communications to develop and deliver stories+ Write and/or edit various communications pieces, as neededQualifications:+ Minimum of 10 years’ work experience in media relations and communications, preferably with a focus on health care equity+ Excellent written and oral communication skills+ Strong editing skills+ Can work independently under deadlines with shifting priorities and with strong time management skillsCompensation and Benefits:+ The compensation range is $68,400- $88,998 and is pro-rated based upon part-time hours.+ BHCHP full time employees are eligible for our competitive time off policy of 4 weeks’ vacation, health, dental and vision insurance, 403B retirement savings plan and employer retirement contribution, and pre-tax MBTA pass program with 40% discount.
