This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Senior Game Designer to join our in-house team and help create innovative scenarios and world structure for an exciting, shared experience open-world AAA game. We are seeking someone who will bring passion to the role, collaborating closely with a core creative team and worldwide partner studios.

Job Description:
Conceptualize, design and document open world systems, scenarios, and the locations they take place in.
Work closely with the core creative team to develop believable, high-quality, immersive experiences.
Global design: Lead by example to provide guidance and clarity to foster a collaborative and creative work environment across multiple teams and time zones.
Help create comprehensive design documents which communicates the content creator's intentions, needs and wants in a clear manner to the broader development team.
Conduct regular playtests and reviews to provide constructive feedback which helps push the project forward, identifies areas of enhancement, and improves overall gameplay and player experience quality.
Who We Look For Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in game design, with at least 5 years focused on game design for AAA titles.
Has worked in production on at least one open world game.
A robust portfolio showcasing your contributions to developing content in shipped titles, highlighting innovative mechanics, systems, and player experiences.
Proven experience in working with design teams of different cultures, fostering creativity, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Strong understanding of game development tools and engines, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers to implement gameplay features.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex design ideas and collaborating across disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to identify gameplay issues and provide effective solutions.
Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving development environment, with the capacity to adapt to changing project needs.
Pluses:
Experience working with co-development studios in different cultures and time zones.
Experience with Atlassian Projects, including Confluence and Jira.
Strong visual communication skills and software understanding, such as Figma, PowerPoint, or Maya.
A strong understanding of core Unreal design systems, including the level editor, blueprints, and the gameplay ability system.

US-California-IrvineThe expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $93,100.00 to $216,700.00 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Employees hired for this position may be eligible for a sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.Subject to the terms and conditions of the plans in effect, hired applicants are also eligible for medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan. The Employee is also eligible for up to 15 to 25 days of vacation per year (depending on the employee’s tenure), up to 13 days of holidays throughout the calendar year, and up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year.Your benefits may be adjusted to reflect your location, employment status, duration of employment with the company, and position level.
