Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.ADI is seeking an RF system architect to join the R&D team and enable the next generation of smart RF/wireless communication products.Responsibilities:
RF system-level development and analysis to optimize the performance of intelligent integrated RF/wireless communication system-on-chip (SOC).Algorithm design for smart and cognitive radio, including optimizing PHY layer control of the RF and baseband to achieve cutting-edge performance and winning customers.Collaborate with circuit designers and firmware developers for verification flow development of RF integrated system and test automation.Support PCB designers in the design and help with the analysis and definition of chip-level RF components, board-level RF circuits, and antennas.Serve as a solution provider to customers’ technical issues and provide education to field application engineers (FAEs) worldwide.As a Senior RF PHY system engineer, you will work on system design/optimization and algorithm development. You will be involved in all the major phases of RF SOC product development cycles, including product definition, RF system design, RF circuit design, RF firmware implementation, as well as customer support and problem-solving.Minimum Requirements:
MSEE degree with 3+ years of industry experience or Ph.D. degree.Experience using MATLAB, C/C++, or Python for algorithm development or modeling.Knowledge of RF system/architecture of transmitters/receivers and the performance matrix.Understanding of Digital Signal Processing or Wireless Communication Systems/Protocols.Hands-on experience in RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, load pull, etc.).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Solid Knowledge in signal processing, communication theory, and information theory.Skills in mathematics and algorithm development.Prior knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning.Knowledge of Microwave/EM and antenna theory.Solid skills in Object-oriented programming.Bilingual or trilingual is preferred for customer support.For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
