to join our growing Traditional Media team. As the Media Director, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing buys across all traditional mediums. You need to be well-versed in media buying best practices and know how to effectively negotiate, manage buys, and track budgets.

ResponsibilitiesIncluding, but not limited to:Leading Internally & Externally:1. Lead media projects while uplifting those around you2. Establishing yourself as the media expert and continuing to educate all team members3. Direct reports to include media buyers and coordinators where applicableAbility to be client facingOrganically grow share of wallet with all current media clientsStrategic thinking in providing rationales & POVs as well as demonstrating and ability to make sound recommendationsContinuing to develop department processes and training team members on themAssist in the development of new business media strategy & plans where neededProvide valuable insights for clients to help shape their current/future media plansWork collaboratively with team members to develop and manage media buys across mediums, including TV, Radio, Cable, Print, & Outdoor, etcDeep understanding of every local market and ability to identify opportunities unique to eachResponsible for the preparation of insertion orders and placement of advertising with media vehicle, as applicableManage the day-to-day implementation, optimization, and performance of campaign activities including authorizations, budgets, and the reconciliation processMonitor media for pacing, delivery, placement, and flight date discrepancies and negotiates credit or billing adjustments when necessaryAnalyze and provide clients with research data and media/marketing information as well as strategic analysis of campaignsMonitor media buys to ensure all brand safety, ad fraud, and viewability standards are met or exceededBuild and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, publishers and the client’s creative resources to ensure an effective creation and implementation of campaignsEffectively manage time and responsibilities in regards to deadlines and client needsTrain media coordinators and provide opportunities for continued growth/advancementResearch and record trends, innovations, and changes that affect media buyingCompiles and analyzes marketing, consumer and competitive dataRequirements7+ years’ media-related/agency experience7+ years’ media buying experienceKnowledge of local/spot market media planning/buyingExperience buying through StrataStrong written and verbal communication skillsYou build great relationships with vendors and repsStrong negotiation skills and successful track record in the media buying spaceEstablish trust and credibility with clients and vendorsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Company DescriptionBPD is the home for healthcare’s leading brands.
