The ‘Design Manager - Systemization & Strategy’ will be responsible for creating documentation that facilitates streamlined execution of work streams requiring systemization support through clear and visual documentation. They will design, deliver, and manage the creation of guidelines and resources requested by Design Teams or stakeholders, and support the development of templates and assets (newsletters, graphics, etc.) to ensure cohesive presentation materials. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, values creativity, and is passionate about project delivery and quality. Comfort with change and shaping processes is essential. The preferred candidate will reside within the Eastern Time Zone. What You’ll Do
Supervise and develop a team of 2 employees, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee hiring. Manage daily team activities, establish schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and set deadlines. Mentor team members as needed. Act as primary contact with key stakeholders, overseeing design standards, client satisfaction, and team management. Create templates, playbooks, and guidelines for design strategies. Develop and oversee comprehensive design strategy frameworks and work plans. Research and implement innovative design strategies. Support site-agnostic design and programming strategies to improve workplace and amenity programs. Develop and manage design strategy frameworks for various audiences, supporting visual strategies aligned with audience needs. Implement QA/QC processes within project schedules. Conduct design reviews to promote innovation. Apply broad knowledge of design standards and how they integrate across disciplines to meet team and departmental goals. Identify and resolve complex technical and operational problems. Recognize broader departmental impacts. What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Architecture/Interior/Graphic) with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience and education. Experience with Google apps. Eligibility to work in the US without visa sponsorship. Preferred Skills
Experience in staffing, training, coaching, and performance management. Ability to communicate sensitive and complex information effectively. Leadership skills to motivate and achieve operational targets. Strong organizational skills and inquisitiveness. Intermediate math skills for financial calculations. The salary range is $130,000 to $160,000 annually, based on skills and experience. Benefits include 401(k), dental, health, life, and vision insurance.
