Overview:
The Senior Interior Designer is a highly experienced Interior Designer responsible for overseeing all aspects of the interior design process, including client relationship management, the creation of a comprehensive interior design concept, and coordinating the intended design vision between the Design Team. The Senior Interior Designer will manage all aspects of the client relationship, including the assessment of client needs and wants, presenting design concepts that satisfy the client's aesthetic preferences, specifying finishes and materials based on the client's budgetary requirements, and adhering to project timelines. The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for the highest level of Interior Design outcomes, completing projects with accuracy and creativity while monitoring project performance within contract hours and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
The Senior Interior Designer is also responsible for assisting related workflow with other Blue Heron departments including Sales, Project Management, Project Delivery, Project Administration, Production, Atelier, Construction, Estimating, and Accounting to help ensure the efficient production and delivery of respective work products. Provide comprehensive design and specification services to our Blue Heron clients for selection and procurement of Fixtures and Equipment for custom products.
Responsibilities:
Promote and encourage the alignment with Blue Heron Core Values, Policies, Philosophies, Processes and MethodologiesEffectively aligns vision/design to brandOversee material and finish specifications, overall color palette, and the coordination of architectural elements with interior spaces.Actively and effectively utilizes tools to design to budget and increase efficiency of design workflowMaintain all documentation related to the design process, including client approved selection sheets, finish schedules/appendices, interior drawings, and ensure that the design vision is accurately implemented in the field through consistent communication with the Construction team and field visitsCoordinate with Design Team and incorporate all Blue Heron interior design standards, details, keynotes, and actively contribute to the development and documentation of interior drawings and interior design best practicesFoster and continually develop vendor and trade relations seeking effective and efficient pricing for products and innovative materials that will be incorporated into Blue Heron custom productsConfidently and effectively handle multiple Elite Creation and Elite Spec homes at different stages of development and managementConfidently and effectively manage the client experience and expectations by overcoming objectives and providing clear and consistent communicationConsidered a primary mentor with proven record of assisting in the development of all Interior Designers, Interior Design Assistants, and Interior Design InternsProven and active cross departmental collaborationAbility to align project design with Blue Heron Design philosophies with little oversight or directionProven ability to design to budget and effectively set and meet project milestone and timeline goalsEffectively oversee and closely manage client billable hours and log hours daily into PaylocityGoals are generally communicated in "solutions" or project goalsWorks on advanced, complex projects or business issues requiring industry knowledgeWorks autonomouslyMay assume a team lead or additional management role for the department through knowledge around specializationAttend weekly meetings to ensure coordination with all relevant Blue Heron departments while maintaining project schedulesRequirements
Bachelor's Degree in interior design or related fieldRequires 7-10+ years of related experienceRoutine use of software including SketchUp, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to multi-task, prioritize project workload, and time sensitive tasksWhy Join Blue Heron:
