Position Highlights
The primary objective of the Senior Graphic Designer is to assist the Marketing team with creating design work in every medium while staying on target, on message, on time, on-brand, and on budget. The Graphic Designer will be an adaptable design thinker and doer who brings fresh perspective and is excited to collaborate with the in-house design team responsible for the look and feel of the entire University. We are seeking for an enthusiastic designer to assist in the creation and maintenance of marketing assets and content created to support the university brand and marketing goals. This candidate will assist in bringing our brand to life from concept through execution, maintaining consistency across our various marketing touchpoints.

Duties & Responsibilities
Creative ExecutionCreate, design, illustrate, and produce graphics for a range of media that amplify the University of Arizona brand.Redesign work to ensure it meets project requirements and adheres to the university's brand guidelines; Integrate feedback from stakeholders and revise designs as needed to ensure alignment with project objectives.Apply design fundamentals to conceive overall concept, design look and feel of each project across all related materials in print and digital media.Adhere to graphic production timetables, and coordinate with outside vendors as needed.Coordinate Digital Asset Library and organizing our video library.Brand Design Support
Communicate with internal brand and marketing team members to gather information to create a variety of graphic assets according to specification.Create and execute a range of campaigns and other project deliverables.Draft detailed creative briefs outlining project objectives, target audience, key messages, and design requirements based on internal discussions and stakeholder input.Maintain branded templates for internal and external communications to ensure consistent brand presentation.Trademarks and Licensing Design Support
Submit project briefs, creative briefs, and direction from management to develop ideas and creative concepts.Coordinate the workflow of creative projects, ensuring that tasks are assigned, deadlines are met, and project goals are achieved.Coordinate the application of trademarks and licensed logos in various design projects, ensuring proper usage in accordance with licensing agreements.Online Design Support
Follow project briefs, creative briefs, and direction from management to develop ideas and creative concepts.Assist with project deliverables for online and UAGC Teams, Trademarks and licensing and Sponsorship Teams.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge and skill in design, layout, and illustration with an eye for detail.Excellent communication, customer service, and file management skills.Exemplary attention to detail and willingness to ask questions.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experiencePreferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing concepts for a range of mediums.Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and multiple deadlines.Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant work experience as either an in-house designer or at a marketing agency.Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign are a must) and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.Experience working in an environment where adhering to brand standards and guidelines are essential.
