The company has a strong base of API/Small Molecule, Biologics, Clinical Research, Bioanalytical Sciences, DMPK, Cell and Gene Therapy and other capability centers across the US. This business has developed a fantastic brand in the US through exceptional service which drives repeat business. This role is fully remote within the Greater Boston territory.
Job Description
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives, primarily selling Discovery and Process Chemistry services.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at client organizations.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet clients’ specific needs and requirements.
Lead contract negotiations and ensure the successful closure of deals.
Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market developments to senior management.
The Successful Applicant
Ph.D. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or other related discipline.
5+ years of industry experience in Biotech, preferably in a Business Development role.
Proven track record of success in selling CDMO/CRO services to biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
Strong understanding of the drug development process and the pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as needed.
